About the Journal
The sensorium is the full range of perception and awareness that defines a conscious human being. Perioperative medicine works to protect it. Clinicians in this field suspend awareness, control pain, preserve organ function and guide the patient safely back to full consciousness and recovery.
SENSORIUM: Journal of Perioperative Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal for this shared mission. We publish rigorous, clinically relevant research across the whole surgical journey, from preoperative assessment to long-term recovery. The journal brings together anesthesiologists, surgeons, intensivists, pain physicians, perioperative nurses and allied health professionals.
Aims & Scope
